Colors of summer on Salt Lake

As temperatures rise in North China, bright colors appear on the surface of the Salt Lake in Yuncheng, Shanxi province, for a unique summer scene.
Separated by a cross-lake road, red and green sections appear, the result of various chemical elements in the water and green algae.
As seen from the air, the lake might be mistaken for hotpot.
People can float without paddling on the lake — known as China's Dead Sea — because of the water's high salinity.
