Watch it again: Hearing from Gen Z from both sides of the Straits
The third episode of season two of the China Daily series Youth Power, titled "Taiwan: The question that's not really a question", will be broadcast online on Tuesday, August 30, at 8 pm Beijing time (8 am EST).
With Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, our Gen Z expedition group travels to Quanzhou, the part of the Chinese mainland closest to Taiwan province, for a reunion trip. They will get into what is often called the Taiwan question, and at the same time get young people from both sides of the Straits to talk about some of the world's most pressing matters.
How do Gen Zers on both sides of the Straits perceive the Taiwan question? What can they do to provide a more authentic understanding of the mainland and Taiwan? How do they see their shared future and what do they want to do to make it happen? How can the world better understand the Taiwan question and respect China's sovereignty and territorial integrity?
Separated by miles of water but with so much in common, these Gen Zers express their desire for those on both sides of the Straits to see each other for what they are: members of the same family.
Youth Power, organized by China Daily, aims to build a global platform of communication and exchange, focusing on the interests and ideas of Generation Z.
Please join us for this insightful new leg of the Gen Z expedition group's journey.
