Archaeologists prepare to remove a bronze beast sculpture with a human figurine standing on top of the beast's head from a pit at Sanxingdui Ruins in Guanghan, Sichuan province, on Aug 24, 2022. At more than 1 meter from snout to tail, and weighing nearly 150 kilograms, it is the largest animal-shaped bronzeware discovered at the site. [Photo by YU JIA/FOR CHINA DAILY]
