Victims and survivors of terrorist attacks in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region shared their stories in a special report released by the Institute for Communication and Borderland Governance at Jinan University.
"I am aware of the deliberate blindness of Western media toward terrorist attacks in Xinjiang," said Zheng Liang, director of the institute in an interview with China Daily.
Zheng said it was important to listen to the stories of victims and survivors as they had been mostly ignored by the Western press.
