Classical studies scholars touch Shandong's culture

Immersed in arts, ideas and sites, global scholars were impressed by Shandong's cultural heritage.
These scholars were participants of "Exploring China: Impressions of Qilu" taking place in Jinan and Qufu of East China's Shandong province from Nov 3 to 5.
The three-day event saw a group of 26 classical studies scholars from Greece, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Canada and elsewhere to visit places like the Temple of Confucius and the Shandong Museum to learn more about Shandong's rich history and culture.
"Exploring China: Impressions of Qilu" serves as a supporting activity for the first World Conference of Classics, which is taking place from Nov 6 to 8 in Beijing.
With the theme "Classical Civilizations and the Modern World", the conference aims to provide a platform for researchers on the world's ancient civilizations to exchange ideas.
