The small commodities market in Yiwu in Zhejiang province is also known as the "supermarket of the world". Ali Erdogan, a Turkish businessman, said the business environment in Yiwu is good and international transportation is convenient.
Yiwu is a beneficiary of the Belt and Road Initiative. The Yiwu platform of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train operated more than 6,700 trains until November 2024. The service has greatly promoted international trade for Yiwu.
