A top executive of a Shanghai-based AI company in the automotive industry said at the 2025 Global Developer Conference in Shanghai on Friday that cars could become mobile robots aided by AI technologies.

"In the long run, cars have the potential to be the ultimate AGI (artificial general intelligence) products," said Li Pan, co-founder and CMO of Exturing, a company focusing on building AI system for cars. "They can be personalized to meet individual needs, offer comfort, safety, and a range of other functions.

Cars can truly become home assistants, providing everything from entertainment to daily necessities, making it possible to live entirely within a car in the future."

Li said AI is reshaping all sectors and industries. Automotive is of no exception.

"AI is impacting all sectors, and it's important to recognize how it will reshape product technology and business models," he said.

"We're aiming to provide a clear roadmap for the future of AI in cars and invite collaboration from AI algorithm developers, model companies, and other ecosystem players to build this AI robot ecosystem."

In the same session, Tang Guangjie, founder of DGN Tech, a company dedicated to merging AIGC technology with education, shares his vision of utilizing AI to personalize learning experiences and empower educators.

"I believe we are pioneers in exploring educational large models," Tang explained. "We need to understand the specific challenges in the education field and create solutions that go beyond simply providing software tools. It's about building a truly personalized learning experience."

Tang's company has partnered with several schools in Shanghai, implementing AI-driven projects and providing educators with the tools and resources needed to transform their classrooms. He emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges of teacher training and equipping educators with the skills necessary to effectively utilize AI tools.

"Our primary focus is on middle school and high school," Tang shared, "but we're also expanding into the university level. Our initial resources are focused on elementary, middle, and high school education, with university exploration already underway."
