Jinan launches first regular drone medical transport route

Shandong's first drone route for transporting medical samples started operating regularly in Jinan after completing test flights.
The route, which is the result of collaboration between Jinan Low-Altitude Economy Development Group and Pingyin County People's Hospital, is a groundbreaking initiative in healthcare logistics and a key step toward exploring technology-assisted "smart healthcare".
Since being launched in December, the route has transported over 600 medical samples, significantly reducing patient waiting times for test results.
The route connects local health centers, maternal and child health hospitals, and the county hospital, ensuring faster and more efficient transportation of medical samples and seamless access to healthcare resources within the county.
This innovative approach is paving the way for the integration of low-altitude logistics and rural vitalization.
