UNDP's head stresses necessity of international cooperation

"International cooperation around multilateral agendas and platforms is not a choice, it's a necessity," said Beate Trankmann, UNDP Resident Representative in China, at the launch ceremony of the new book, Global Development and Cooperation with China: New Ideas, Policies and Initiatives for a Changing World.
Reflecting on UNDP's longstanding partnership with China since establishing its office in 1979, Trankmann noted that the organization has witnessed China's development firsthand. She expressed hope for deeper collaboration in key frontier areas such as climate action and green finance.
The book, jointly launched by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Springer Nature, aims to explore more solutions to address some of the world's most pressing challenges.
