Editor's note: The late Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk, an old friend of the Chinese people, died of natural causes in Beijing on Oct 15 at the age of 90. Fu Xuezhang, China's former ambassador to Cambodia, who worked in the country for nearly 10 years, tells China Daily about Sihanouk through the eyes of a Chinese diplomat.
