Lily Collins is Hollywood’s brightest new star. The 22-year-old actress currently plays in the new thriller, Abduction, graces the latest cover of Teen Vogue, and has two more big movies on the way.

Born in England, Lily moved to the United States when she was five years old. As the daughter of rock-star Phil Collins, she has always been near the spotlight . Her career began at a very early age, appearing in Growing Pains at the age of two. In her teenage years, Lily wrote a column for the British edition of Elle Girl, as well as writing for Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and the Los Angeles Times Magazine. She studies broadcast journalism at university and models part-time. She also had a role in the Oscar-winning film The Blind Side . If all of this wasn’t enough, Lily has two huge roles in her future. She has already begun working on a film adaptation of Snow White, where she will play the beloved princess. In an interview, Lily said that her version of the Snow White character would have some edge—she is already preparing for fight scenes!

After Snow White, Lily will be going from princess to fighter in the film adaptation of the hugely successful The Mortal Instruments novels . The first film, City of Bones, will introduce Lily as main character Clarissa Fray.

A writer, model, and actress, Lily Collins can do it all. She has already achieved incredible success, but it is only the beginning for this young star.

A Name Is Just a Name

Being the daughter of Phil Collins doesn’t always get Lily Collins whatever she wants, and she’s quick to state that. The 22-year-old actress shared with Teen Vogue, “In the end, a name is just a name. It can get you through the door, but you need something to back it up.”
