9月9日，中紀(jì)委書(shū)記王岐山表示，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨黨員應(yīng)堅(jiān)持核心價(jià)值觀這條“高線”，絕不突破黨的紀(jì)律這條“底線”。

王岐山指出，“高線”（superior line）就是核心價(jià)值觀（core values of ideals）、為人民服務(wù)的信念和宗旨（faith and tenets to serve the people）。黨的紀(jì)律和規(guī)矩（Party discipline and regulations）就是要時(shí)刻挺在前沿、記在心里的“底線”（bottom line）。

堅(jiān)持“高線”（adhere to the "superior line"）、絕不允許突破“底線”（never be allowed to cross the "bottom line"），這是對(duì)全面從嚴(yán)治黨（comprehensively strengthen Party discipline）要求的最新表述，體現(xiàn)了黨在實(shí)現(xiàn)自我完善、自我凈化、自我革新和自我提高的道路上的探索和努力，向人民兌現(xiàn)承諾的決心和擔(dān)當(dāng)。

The Party regulations and rules should be put in first place so that members will promptly be warned of minor misconduct and immediately disciplined for major wrongdoing.
