When the temperature hits nearly 40 degrees Celsius, some creative Shanghainese took the opportunity to fry some eggs on the scorching ground instead. An egg was half-cooked within 15 minutes on a stone fence around the Bund, at noon on Aug 4, 2015. According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, Shanghai has experienced 10 days of continuous high temperatures, hitting a scorching peak yesterday of 39.2 degrees Celsius.
