中國(guó)紅十字會(huì)近日剛剛澄清“網(wǎng)絡(luò)炫富女”郭美美事件，其財(cái)政收支的問(wèn)題又遭到社會(huì)質(zhì)疑，爆發(fā)信任危機(jī)。國(guó)家審計(jì)署在審計(jì)過(guò)程中發(fā)現(xiàn)，紅十字總會(huì)在預(yù)算執(zhí)行和其他財(cái)政收支中存在問(wèn)題。

The Red Cross Society's credibility had already plummeted after a recent scandal involving the misuse of donations, when it was found to have overspent 4.2 million yuan, exceeding by 34 percent the accepted budget for equipment procurement in December 2009.

在近期捐款濫用丑聞曝光后，公眾對(duì)中國(guó)紅十字會(huì)的信任度大幅下跌。國(guó)家審計(jì)署在審計(jì)過(guò)程中發(fā)現(xiàn)，中國(guó)紅十字會(huì)超額支出420萬(wàn)元人民幣，比2009年通過(guò)的設(shè)備采購(gòu)預(yù)算多出34%。

文中的misuse of donations就是指“捐款濫用”，也可以稱(chēng)為improper allocation of funds。此次，紅十字會(huì)還被審計(jì)出了其它一些spending irregularities（違規(guī)支出）問(wèn)題，再加上之前的網(wǎng)絡(luò)炫富女事件，無(wú)異于add fuel to the public's anger（火上澆油），不僅hurt its image（有損形象），而且shatter public trust（瓦解了公眾信任）。

郭美美近日發(fā)消息道歉，稱(chēng)經(jīng)理身份為杜撰，但她的boast online about her lavish lifestyle（網(wǎng)上炫富）行為給紅十字會(huì)造成了惡劣影響。“炫富”還可以用flaunt the considerable wealth來(lái)表示，例如While the girls try to make the cut, the guys get to flaunt their considerable wealth. （在女孩們?cè)噲D晉級(jí)的同時(shí)，男士們則可以炫耀他們的巨額財(cái)富。）
