 日本糾纏“聯(lián)合國會費(fèi)”不放

據(jù)悉，日本11月8日提出一個新動議，稱中國應(yīng)承擔(dān)更多的聯(lián)合國會費(fèi)，而日本應(yīng)降低所承擔(dān)的份額。這是日本今年第二次提議中國增加所承擔(dān)的聯(lián)合國會費(fèi)份額。根據(jù)該動議，德國和安理會常任理事國俄羅斯也應(yīng)該增加會費(fèi)份額。

由報(bào)道中的“share of UN dues”（聯(lián)合國會費(fèi)份額），我們暫把注意力轉(zhuǎn)到“dues”的用法。日常生活中，若你是某俱樂部、某協(xié)會的會員，向組織交納的“會費(fèi)”就可用dues來形容（注意，此時的due必須是復(fù)數(shù)形式），如“membership dues”（會員費(fèi)）。
Due做形容詞時，與“會費(fèi)”相應(yīng)的詞義是“應(yīng)付的、欠付的”，常放置于被修飾詞之后，如：a letter with five cents postage due（一封欠資5分的信件）；the amount still due（尚欠額）。
此外，如報(bào)道所示，在相同語境下，due可和fee或contribution相互替換。
